These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of ThisIsBS.wtf, a project of FixThis Action Lab LLC.

Services

We provide civic action services, including official lookup and physical letter mailing. The services available to you, and the applicable terms for those services, are those described on the relevant issue page at the time of purchase. You must be at least 13 years old to use or submit information to our services.

User Conduct, Content and Responsibility

You may not use our services to threaten or harass any individual or group, incite violence, or impersonate any person or entity. Our services and any content provided through them are intended solely for lawful civic engagement.

You are solely responsible for the content of any letters or other materials you submit. You represent and warrant that you have the right to submit that content and to authorize us to transmit, print, and mail it, and that your content does not violate any applicable law or infringe the rights of any third party.

You retain any ownership rights you have in your content, but you grant FixThis Action Lab LLC a non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, and transmit that content as needed to provide the services.

No Legal or Advocacy Advice

Nothing on ThisIsBS.wtf or in our services constitutes legal advice, tax advice, or professional lobbying advice. You are responsible for your own decisions about whether and how to contact public officials, and you should consult your own attorney or adviser as needed.

Payments

Fees for paid services are the prices displayed at the time of purchase. Payment processing is handled by third-party payment processors, and your use of those processors may be subject to their separate terms and policies.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FixThis Action Lab LLC's total liability arising out of or relating to the services will not exceed the amount you paid for the services in the 12 months before the claim, and we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the services must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois.

Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and FixThis Action Lab LLC regarding the services.
