When a user submits an order for the paid letter service, the site collects the user's full name, address, email address, letter content, and order information in order to process, fulfill, support, document, and maintain records regarding the service.

This information may be disclosed to Lob for mailing-related services and to Stripe for payment processing. Information associated with paid services may be retained for up to 12 months and may be retained for longer where reasonably necessary for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, backup, tax, accounting, recordkeeping, compliance, enforcement, or claims-related purposes.

Personal information submitted through the site may also be sold, shared, licensed, rented, transferred, disclosed, or otherwise commercialized as described in this Privacy Policy, subject to applicable law.

    • Preserve evidence relevant to complaints, disputes, chargebacks, investigations, or anticipated litigation
    • Enforce terms, policies, and other rights

    • Maintain backups, logs, audit trails, and business continuity records where deletion is not immediately feasible or appropriate
    • Carry out other internal uses reasonably aligned with the context in which the information was collected, where permitted by law

Where appropriate, the Company may delete some information while retaining other information that is reasonably necessary for these purposes.

    Letters, Content, and Liability-Related Records

Information associated with submitted letters, fulfillment, and related transactions may be retained even after a deletion request where reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, respond to complaints, resolve disputes, enforce policies, protect the Company and third parties, or address potential liability arising from user-submitted content or use of the service.

    11. Verification of Requests

Before responding to certain privacy requests, the Company may require sufficient information to verify the identity of the requester and the scope of the request. The Company may deny or limit a request where identity cannot be reasonably verified, where the request is overly broad, or where an exception applies.
